Giving Forward
A small house on a tree-lined street was the perfect place for Robert and Susan to start their life together. Little did they know that 42 years later, their home would hold so many memories. Children playing with toys in the living room. Teenagers eating pizzas in the kitchen. Friends and family rallying around the TV to cheer on the home football team.
Robert and Susan’s children have since moved away and now have families of their own, but memories are still being made inside the small house on the tree-lined street. The couple is deeply involved in their church and several non-profits in their community, and LegacyWay’s DAF allows them to further their involvement by recommending grants to support the causes they love.
“Having a donor-advised fund lets us participate in the future of our church and community,” Susan said. “Even in retirement, we want to be a blessing to others,” Robert said, “and receiving a tax deduction through our LegacyWay fund means we can do more.”
